Flexible Foundations
There are seasons when healthy living feels natural.
Meals come together easily.
Routines feel steady.
The habits you’ve worked hard to build seem to support you without much effort.
And then there are seasons when life asks you for more…
More caregiving.
More emotional bandwidth.
More appointments.
More logistics.
More problem-solving.
The routines that once felt effortless begin to drift into choppy waters—not because you’ve stopped caring, but because your capacity is being used elsewhere.
I know this because I’ve lived it.
As a wife, caregiver to my disabled husband, mother of eight, health coach, advocate for all my exceptional needs people, and chief operating officer of our household. I’ve walked through seasons where survival had to take priority.
Not because health stopped mattering.
But, because life was demanding more attention in other places.
And I’ve learned something important:
Most women don’t need a brand-new plan.
They need help returning to their foundations.

Why I Created Flexible Foundations
The Flexible Foundations group was born from a simple observation:
Many women already know what works for them.
They know how to build a Trim Healthy meal.
They understand the basics.
They’ve experienced success before.
But, life happened.
Now they find themselves stuck in the exhausting cycle of:
“I’ll start again Monday.”
“I just need things to calm down first.”
“I just need things to calm down first.”
The problem isn’t a lack of knowledge.
The problem is often a loss of rhythm.
And rhythm isn’t something we force.
It’s something we build, or re-build.

What Is Flexible Foundations?
Flexible Foundations is a six-week Trim Healthy group coaching experience designed to help women connect, or reconnect, with the habits that support them the most.
Not through pressure, because we feel plenty of that.
Not through perfection, because imperfection is human.
But through steady, practical, actionable steps.
Together we’ll move through three phases:
Weeks 1–2: Foundations – We return to the basics
Dropping the anchor with our protein consumption.
Finding simple meals that will be available whenever you need them.
Fuel separation, because that speaks the language of change in a body that requires two fuels to move towards release instead of storage.
Reducing decision fatigue.
Creating repeatable routines that will support the nutrition goals you have.
This phase isn’t about doing everything.
It’s about doing the things consistently.
Weeks 3–4: Momentum
For those who choose, we’ll walk through a supported Wisdom-style “Shake-Up” together.
Participation in this is completely optional. But, Foundational Trim Healthy foods are the default option for this phase if you don’t choose the “Shake-up”
Some women find this phase helpful for:
Renewing momentum
Resetting appetite awareness
Regaining confidence
Breaking out of a rut
Others may continue building strong foundational habits.
Both approaches are supported, and completely perfect for our purpose.
Weeks 5–6: Flexible Living
This is where we bring everything together.
Real life.
Real schedules.
Real responsibilities.
We’ll explore how to blend Foundational Trim Healthy habits, with Wisdom Principles if you want to do that, in ways that fit your season. Or, those who choose to pursue Foundational Trim Healthy will continue working their plan.
Because sustainable health isn’t built on ideal circumstances.
It’s built on adaptable habits.

What I Believe About Health
I don’t believe there is a perfect time to begin. I know there hasn’t been for me.
There will always be:
Holidays
Birthdays
Vacations
Trips
Busy seasons
Unexpected challenges
There will always be something competing for your attention.
The goal isn’t eliminating distractions.
The goal is learning how to navigate them alongside what you want to accomplish.
Sometimes you pause and handle what needs handling.
Sometimes you go around an obstacle.
Sometimes you excuse yourself from something that isn’t yours to carry.
That’s not failure.
That’s discernment.

What Rhythm Means to Me
People often ask me about consistency.
But I think consistency gets misunderstood.
To me, rhythm is simply:
Routines that anchor you to the consistency you desire.
These are small things you return to when life becomes complicated.
Protein at meals and snacks.
Simple breakfasts.
Meals you don’t have to think about.
Foods that support your body when your brain is busy elsewhere.
Those anchors matter.

If You Feel Like You’re Failing
I want to tell you something I wish more women believed about their lifestyle, but most importantly the Trim Healthy Lifestyle.
You cannot technically fail a lifestyle that you come back to.
You’re still here.
You’re still learning.
You’re still eating meals.
There is always your next opportunity to begin again.
Always your next meal.
Always your next choice.
Failure isn’t the point.
The point is returning.

The Wisdom of Small Steps
One of the biggest mistakes I see women make is trying to rebuild everything at once. I promise that I’ve been one of these women.
I have come to understand…
Healthy habits are meant to be stacked.
Layer by layer.
Foundation by foundation.
Most successful lifestyles aren’t built through dramatic overhauls.
They’re built through small actions repeated consistently over time.
Which means if you’re tired…
If you’re overwhelmed…
If your capacity feels stretched…
You don’t need to do everything.
You just need to start somewhere.

What I Hope You Take Away
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to get back on track, I hope you’ll stop waiting.
Not because now is the perfect time.
But because it never will be.
Instead, I hope you’ll start small enough to feel anchored.
Because progress doesn’t belong only to people moving quickly.
It belongs to people who keep moving. It belongs to people who keep returning.
And proof of progress always wins.
