Welcome to the Treehouse

Our last name is Burch…not spelled like the tree, but pun intended!

I married my husband, Alan, in 2008.  We have been abundantly blessed with 7 living children who range in age from 13 years – 2 years old.

We live in the western part of the great state of Montana, in a tiny town nestled into the mountain side along the Clark Fork River.  On our three-acre homestead in the making we currently raise chickens, Mini-Nubian Goats, Chinese Crested Geese, Bees and Muscovy ducks.

Otherwise, I am your typical homeschooling mom of a large family, with atypical challenges like special needs, gluten allergies, and PTSD in my husband.

What is this blog about?

The Gluten-free Lifestyle.  Large family living.  Exceptional needs advocacy.  A little bit of fun and games.  But, most of all, you will find everyday life and faith!

If you are new the the Celiac or gluten free lifestyle, or actively living it, you can find education and inspiration on how we live this way as a family of 9. 2 of our children have Celiac Disease and 2 have non-celiac gluten intolerance. We are a completely gluten free household. You can find Products We Use here. Including the Natural Products we use to support the wellness of our home.

I also have a list of my Original Recipes including my Gluten Free Sourdough Recipes.

If you follow the Trim Healthy Mama lifestyle, or want to know more about my role as a Trim Healthy Mama Lifestyle Coach, you can find more information about that with a list of my current THM Lifestyle Coaching Opportunities.
